Munguia Vs. Surace Rematch Set For April

According to reports, Jaime Munguia will rematch with his old opponent, Bruno Surace, in Tijuana, Mexico, on April 12. In front of his hometown supporters in Tijuana, Munguia (44-2, 35 KOs), the former WBO junior middleweight champion, wants to exact revenge for last month's devastating sixth-round knockout loss to Surace (26-0-2, 5 KOs) on December 14. The Strike of the Cobra The 28-year-old Munguia was downed with a right hand from the Cobra-like Surance after becoming reckless in round six. Munguia fell to the ground, face down, after the shot. When Jaime got back up, he was out on his feet, and the referee, Juan Jose Ramirez, stopped it instead of letting the Frenchman poleaxe him again. On his Instagram channel, Labonita_delboxeo shares the news of the rematch between Munguia and Surace. Given that Surace might have his number, Munguia's decision to accept the rematch with him is debatable. Jaime used a left hook to the head to knock him down earlier in the fight. But a few seconds later, Surace struck Munguia in the head with a right hand that resembled a snake. Although Munguia handled it well, the shot was the same as the one he floored him with in the sixth round with his right hand.
