Mark Zuckerberg hid identity for jiu jitsu

After years of practicing MMA striking and grappling, Mark Zuckerberg finally considered competing in a jiu-jitsu tournament. The proprietor of Meta recently appeared on The Joe Rogan Experience to talk about a variety of subjects, such as his experience in combat sports and his attempt to remain anonymous for as long as possible while competing in his first tournament. "I suppose that in order to hide my identity, I entered this tournament using my first and middle names. In addition to wearing a COVID mask, I donned a cap and sunglasses. I was like, "All right," and stripped everything off till they called our names to halt onto the mat. The man [was] like, "Uh, what?" I believe he was attempting to ascertain what was happening. "His coach later said, 'I believe that Mark Zuckerberg just submitted me.'" The coach responded, 'No. No way. "No, I think that was," said [the other guy]. "What?" the coach asked. Are you battling Mark Zuckerberg? "Go fight him, get back in there," he said, but he said, "No, he just submitted me." Although it never happened, UFC CEO Dana White was fairly certain in 2023 that he could arrange a fight between Zuckerberg and Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter. Zuckerberg's severe injury sustained during training didn't help either, but it was a crucial lesson he had to learn during his arduous recovery. "For me, balance is really important," Zuckerberg said. "I essentially make an effort to work out every morning. I either practice general fitness or a form of mixed martial arts (MMA), and occasionally I engage in both grappling and striking. However, I ended up tearing my ACL training at that point. I believe I was probably overdoing it because at that time, my weight training and fighting training were not connected. I'm now attempting to accomplish this in a unified manner, which I believe will be more long-lasting. It certainly eases the tension. You feel as though nothing else in the day will cause you as much stress after doing it for a few hours in the morning. You can simply handle it. Following the injury, Zuckerberg revealed that his wife felt he was better off being near him, so she wanted to make sure he returned to the training room as soon as his ACL healed. Zuckerberg intends to continue strengthening his neck and other physical areas in order to get back to competitive jiu-jitsu as soon as possible. Zuckerberg remarked, "When I first started training, not just jiu-jitsu but striking, I was like, okay, I want to find a way to do this where I don't hurt my brain." Since I'll be managing this business for some time, I want to maintain my health and avoid suffering too much harm. "I take that very seriously, and I believe that having a strong neck is the most important thing you can do, along with having good partners."
