Due to a "bad injury," light heavyweight veteran Johnny Walker will not be able to face Bogdan Guskov on the Jan. 18 program at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. The bout was supposed to be the featured preliminary bout on the UFC's first numbered event of the year. "A serious injury has pulled me out," Walker stated in a social media video. I'm devastated to learn that I won't be competing. I worked really hard over the course of several months of intense training. We'd like to return and perform, but not this time. I hope Bogdan has a successful future. I hope he can locate a rival. Whether the organization will find a substitute opponent to play Guskov with only seven days' notice is currently unknown.
