Keith Thurman vs Brock Jarvis in Sidney

No Limit Boxing is reportedly about to announce a bout between former welterweight champion Keith Thurman and Jeff Fenech protégé Brock Jarvis for March 12th, according to Dean Ritchie of the Daily Telegraph. Of course, nothing indicates that the fight will really happen. Thurman (30-1, 22 KO) has just competed once in the past five and a half years, and that was in 2022, when she recovered from her 2019 loss to Manny Pacquiao with a convincing decision victory against Mario Barrios. Early last year, he was set to comeback for a super welterweight bout against Tim Tszyu. However, he withdrew due to a biceps injury, which allowed Tszyu to fight Sebastian Fundora instead and hurt his own career. After getting hammered by Liam Paro in 2022, Jarvis has only faced weak competition in his two subsequent victories (22-1, 20 KO). Thurman has the advantage in this contest written all over it, but he needs to make it to the ring first. Putting Tszyu on reserve could not be a bad idea; his comeback prospects are worse than Jarvis'. Jarvis fearlessly asserts, "It's not a gamble, mate," refusing to acknowledge that the struggle is precarious. Being the superior fighter gives me the upper hand. Going into this bout, I feel strong mentally and full of confidence. Fight night will be a reflection of my confidence in my preparation. "This is perfect timing for me," he continued, referring to Keith's advancing years.
