The darkness in the post for Tyson Fury
A lot of people have been talking about Tyson Fury retiring recently, and each time he says it, there's more excitement than it deserves. The former heavyweight champion informed his fans that he was retiring from boxing while sitting in a car, which implied more haste than reflection.
You can't question the feeling. Most of the time, when Fury posts something on social media, he actually believes it—at least for the time being. His habit of reaching for his phone whenever a thought occurred to him in the Netflix series At Home With The Furys is still fresh in everyone's mind. One episode takes place during his earlier "retirement," when he was so bored that he posted a social media request for a piano teacher. In yet another, a man from Morecambe proclaimed his intention to purchase the adjacent Blackpool Airport, citing his growing frustration with "all this not being able to fly and stuff when I want to." Not only does he not own an airport, but he also still can't play the piano. This was three years ago. Also, we shouldn't be too hard on him. He was just attempting to divert his attention from his one and only strength.
