Kambosos Headlines Sydney Card

Headlining the show in Sydney, Australia, on March 22nd will be George Kambosos Jr., who will face an opponent whose identity has not yet been revealed. Kambosos Jr., a former unified lightweight champion (21-3, 10 KOs), will be fighting for the first time with Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Boxing. Skye Nicolson is going to be in the lineup. His intentions for Kambosos remain unknown to Hearn. Unfortunately, his plans to arrange a fight in Australia between Kambosos and former IBF light welterweight champion Liam Paro fell through following Paro's loss to Richardson Hitchins in December. Need a Victory, Kambosos! Even though Hearn backs Hitchins, a battle between him and Kambosos wouldn't be that noteworthy. Giving Kambosos to Hitchins and then watching him lose isn't the most productive use of his time. Obtaining a more substantial bout for Kambosos Jr. against a fighter such as Teofimo Lopez, Devin Haney, or Ryan Garcia is likely to be Hearn's first priority. For the four years following his surprising victory over Teofimo Lopez on November 27, 2021, Kambosos has, in all likelihood, lost every bout. On July 22, 2023, he won a dubious match against Maxi Hughes. Hughes had the upper hand the whole time, so many boxing fans considered it a loss for Kambosos.
