In an interview with Fight Hype, Rolando Romero discusses the impending contest between Gervonta "Tank" Davis and Lamont Roach, stating his belief that Tank has all the odds in his favor. According to Romero, his old opponent is going to win easily unless Tank utterly bombs. It concerns the bout between Gervonta Davis and Lamont Roach. Lamont Roach gaining weight is a good analogy. You're up against a savage puncher, and that's not good, man. I don't mean to diminish Lamont Roach in any way. Man, Lamont Roach is a fantastic fighter; the only thing holding him back is weight. Also, you're up against one of the sport's hardest punchers, as I mentioned before. Because I'm just another puncher, you can't compare my battle to Gervonta's or Roach's. In regards to whether Roach can achieve victory, "Absolutely not!"There is simply an excess of authority, weight, and expertise. You might say, "oh, maybe this person is a better boxer," but that doesn't change the fact that Tank is clearly the superior fighter. Even if he's gaining weight, which could slow him down a bit, he isn't a greater puncher than Tank. You can't lay claim to any of this since Tank has the superior legs and an insane ring IQ. The one and only thing is that everyone has off nights, including Tank. However, you are not eligible to claim any of this.
