Chris Eubank Jr admits he got more than he expected from Conor Benn.
In order to defeat Conor Benn in London, Chris Eubank Jr. had to go to war, and his remarks after the fight showed a newfound respect for his opponent.
When asked if he was taken aback by Benn's opposition, Eubank acknowledged that he had not anticipated Benn to be such a challenging opponent.
"I was taken aback by everything. He remarked, "I had no idea he had what he had in him." "I didn't, actually. I intended to break him early. I thought he was too small. That's not how I trained for a fight. He has never displayed that, therefore I was unaware that he possessed it. However, he has never had to demonstrate it. Tonight, he and I both had to demonstrate it.
Eubank (35-3, 25 KO) went on to say that the bout was more significant than many had anticipated because of the generational rivalry between him and Benn (23-1, 14 KO).
