Daniel Cormier: Alex Pereira is ‘a liar’

Alex Pereira's product is not being purchased by Daniel Cormier. In response to a letter he purportedly received from the organization, the former two-division UFC champion tweeted on Wednesday that he was "disheartened" and that the UFC "played with me." Shortly after, Pereira said on his Instagram page that he had a "great relationship with UFC" and that he had been "hacked." According to Cormier, Pereira isn't being truthful about what transpired earlier this week on his show Good Guy/Bad Guy with Chael Sonnen. "Pereira is a liar, to start with," Cormier stated. "On Wednesday, Pereira was not hacked. It's possible that after Pereira tweeted anything, someone phoned him and told him to cool down. Let's relax. "Dude, I don't think the hack is real. It's too practical. It was overly detailed. I'm stating it in public. The two former combatants started talking about Hunter Campbell's visit to Dagestan to meet with Islam Makhachev and his crew, the lightweight champion. Although the meeting's specifics were not disclosed, it is assumed that Campbell, Makhaehev, and the champion's management discussed his next course of action. The UFC CEO stated at the UFC 315 press conference that the details will be revealed after Saturday's welterweight title bout between Belal Muhammad and Jack Della Maddalena. Pereira, who lost the light heavyweight title to Magomed Ankalaev in March at UFC 313, could have publicly expressed his frustration on social media because, according to Cormier, one of the UFC's more powerful men didn't travel to Dagestan to meet with just one current champion under that specific managerial umbrella. My hypothesis is that Rizvan Magomedov manages to meet Islam when Hunter was there. ... he oversees Ankalaev as well," Cormier clarified. "This is merely my hoop dream: When discussing the war with Islam while he is in Dagastan, he asks, "How about you, Ankalaev? Are you free? After Ankalaev says, "Okay, I can fight," you approach Pereira and ask, "Pereira, are you available?" Alex responds, "Well, there isn't much time to get ready." "All right, Alex, we'll give this title fight to someone else."
