Henry Cejudo reveals details in Kamaru Usman, Belal Muhammad podcast scuffle
Henry Cejudo gave more information about the controversial and unreleased podcast featuring former UFC champions Belal Muhammad and Kamaru Usman, but he didn't reveal everything.
Muhammad was invited to appear on the Pound 4 Pound podcast, which Cejudo and Usman co-host. According to Cejudo, manager Ali Abdelaziz, who represents all three fighters, organized the invitation. Muhammad and Usman have both previously stated that something heated up during the podcast's filming, which Cejudo affirms even though he believes Usman initiated the altercation.
Drama was already developing, so when they arrived, I acted as a sort of mediator, asking, "Hey, Belal, how are you? How do you feel about Kamaru? What are your thoughts on Belal, Kamaru? Cejudo stated on the JAXXON Podcast, "And shit just started kind of escalating." "To be honest, Kamaru most likely initiated it, but I can understand why."

"I am forever grateful to Kelvin Gastelum," Israel Adesanya said in response to being inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Muhammad would clap back on social media after Usman called his shot for a chance to reclaim his title after Muhammad won the welterweight title at UFC 304. After a considerable amount of back and forth, Muhammad finally appeared on the podcast.
Cejudo claims that in addition to becoming heated, things also became physical.
"I believe Kamaru suddenly stated that it was on sight, and Belal responded, 'Well, it's on sight, what's up?'" Cejudo clarified. You guys will have to wait until we release the tape once Kamaru gets up.
"Dude, that scuffle there was real. The entire production crew began to arrive as I was attempting to [get in the middle] while suffering from a f*cking sprained ankle. As if they had to hold them both. Four of the eight or so persons there were attempting to board Belal, but hands were thrown. They slapped each other.
Jack Della Maddalena just defeated Muhammad for the championship, and Usman is scheduled to compete for the first time in almost two years on June 14 against Joaquin Buckley in the main event of UFC Atlanta.
Cejudo figured it would be something different, maybe an opportunity to put the past behind them, which is why they agreed to have Muhammad on with so much hostility between him and Usman.
At least I was thinking, 'No, that's f*cking cool,'" Cejudo remarked. The fact that Kamaru said, 'Yeah, yeah, bring him on,' actually made me delighted. You wouldn't want to do a podcast with someone who has your belt, especially when you're feeling that way and there's been a lot of negativity on social media.
