Ryan Garcia's fans are angry when he blamed alcoholism and bipolar depression for his loss to Rolly Romero in New York City.

Ryan Garcia came out today on X and told his fans that he has been an alcoholic for a year and that he was "bipolar depressed" when he lost against Rolando "Rolly" Romero on May 2nd in Times Square, New York. Gervonta Davis vs. Ryan Garcia: A FIGHT IN THE FUTURE Garcia has no revenge? A lot of Kingry's fans were shocked when they turned on him and yelled at him for trying to cover up his loss to Rolly by coming up with excuses. Fans didn't want to hear that from their hero. They wanted Garcia to be tough and promise to get back at Rolly (17-2, 13 KOs), just like a soldier would do if his battalion lost a key battle and half of the platoon was killed by the enemy. It's about getting back at someone. That's what Kingry's fans wanted to hear. "People need to understand that boxing isn't for the weak. I had been an alcoholic for a year and had bipolar depressive disorder. Ryan Garcia said on X, "I'm fine with the judgment, but I'm ready to come back and show you that you can come back from anything." Ryan's relentless thirst for revenge, to fight fire with fire, is what is missing. That's what fans demand from him, and it's a typical thing to do in conflict. It's not there. Garcia is making excuses instead of letting Rolly win. Is Garcia a pacifist? People think Ryan (24-2, 20 KOs) should at least try to make up for his loss by changing things up and coming back stronger for a second bout. But maybe he can't. Garcia got $20 million for the Romero bout, which may have taken away his hunger and made him weak enough emotionally that he doesn't want to fight anymore. He doesn't want to fight anymore; he just wants to sit on the sidelines and let other people do it for him. Rolly is completely wrong, thus it won't be long before he loses again. If he fights one of the good fighters at 147, he'll lose his WBA "regular" welterweight title.
