Naoya Inoue to defend his undisputed super bantamweight championship against #1 WBC Alan Picasso
Naoya Inoue to defend his undisputed super bantamweight championship against #1 WBC Alan Picasso
Fight Analysis: Inoue vs. Picasso
There isn't much interest in Inoue defending against Picasso (31-0, 17 KOs) in December or any other time. Picasso looks like another fighter with a completely fake resume who shouldn't be ranked anywhere near the top slot.
This is the WBC, so it makes sense when you look at the whole picture. In fact, Picasso is a really bad contender when it comes to talent.
For Turki's fantasy to come true, "Monster" Inoue (30-0, 27 KOs) must still win his next fight against WBA interim 122-lb champion Murodjon Akhmadaliev on September 14th in Tokyo, Japan.
Inoue's Age Showing?
Inoue, who is 32 years old, may not win because he was knocked down hard in the second round of his last bout against Ramon Cardenas on May 4 in Las Vegas. Cardenas hit Naoya with a lot of hard punches, and he might have been knocked out if Ramon hadn't continued going back to the ropes to rest.
The battle indicated that Inoue is starting to get older. Akhmadaliev has a good chance of knocking Inoue out and taking his title if he can get to him early.
Turki Alalshikh's Strategy
"We have the master, the real master, on December 27." We have Inoue. Turki Alalshikh told the Ring Magazine YouTube channel, "We are thinking now, and we are close to finishing Inoue against [#1 WBC-ranked Alan] Picasso as the main event." "All of the fights on the card will be big, with the biggest ones between Japan and Mexico."
"So, that means Mexicans and Mexican-Americans." Mike Coppinger commented, "Of course, there are a lot of great ones."
Turki said, "Against Japan." "The best from both sides."
Mike responded, "That's never been done before."
Turki responded, "This is Riyadh Season."
