Tyson Fury announces date and location for 2026 trilogy bout with Oleksandr Usyk.
Tyson Fury has stated that he plans to face Oleksandr Usyk a third time in 2026, stating that the fight is provisionally scheduled and providing a date and location.
On social media, Fury announced that the bout would take place at London's Wembley Stadium on April 18, 2026. With Fury emerging from his fictitious retirement, Turki Alalshikh stated yesterday that Usyk vs. Fury 3 would take place the next year.
Recently, Fury has changed his mind that his two fights against Usyk in Riyadh ended in "unfair" verdicts, especially their second fight from the previous year, which Usyk won by unanimous decision. Fury (34-2-1, 24 KO) hasn't fought in England since defeating Derek Chisora at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in 2022, and it seems that's the only way he thinks he can have a fair shot there.
Usyk (23-0, 14 KO) is already scheduled to fight Daniel Dubois at Wembley on July 19 in an attempt to reclaim the four-belt, undisputed title. Dubois is bringing the IBF championship to the bout, while Usyk is defending the WBC, WBA, and WBO crowns. In order to proceed with the second Fury bout last year, Usyk had to forfeit the IBF belt.
For the record, Usyk has a 3-0 record in the UK, having defeated Anthony Joshua in 2021, Derek Chisora in 2020, and Tony Bellew in 2018.
If you're curious about the other side of this or whether Fury is just saying stuff to hear himself talk, Usyk's team tells Sky Sports that this fight "has been on the table" and that they fully expect it to happen.
