Ian Machado Garry fires back at Sean Brady

Ian Machado Garry says Sean Brady is lying when he says he's avoiding him. Brady (18-1 MMA, 8-1 UFC) said that the UFC called him twice to battle Machado Garry (16-1 MMA, 9-1 UFC) at UFC 319 and UFC battle Night 262 in Vancouver, but the Irish fighter is said to have turned him down. In an interview with Games Hub, Machado Garry responded, "No, not a chance," when asked about Brady's claims. "I've never ducked anyone in my life, and I never will." In April, Machado Garry fought Carlos Prates in the main event of UFC on ESPN 66 and won. Brady, on the other hand, just won a convincing submission over former welterweight champion Leon Edwards in the main event of UFC Fight Night 255 in March. Machado Garry told us what's next for him and said he had a condition for the Brady bout. "I'm talking to the UFC about a deal. "Sean Brady just fought Leon Edwards, and behind the scenes, he was told he would be the No. 1 contender," said Machado Garry. "He has to fight again now because Islam Makhachev is moving up. I've shown time and time again that I'm willing to fight anyone, anywhere, and at any time. I'm as game as they come. I want the whole world to know that I'm next in line when I beat Sean Brady. No one is skipping me. "There's no Kamaru Usman coming up. Carlos Prates isn't coming up. I'm next in line. Shavkat (Rakhmonov) is back after being hurt? No, I'm still here. I'm next in line. If the UFC says that, then the UFC should stick to it. I give them credit for that. They keep their word. I want it to be known that if Sean Brady and I are fighting, it's the No. 1 contender battle and it's known as that. Sean Brady should simply stop up and let me do all the hard work. All he has to do is show up on fight night and lose.
