Carlos Ulberg expects next UFC title shot
Carlos Ulberg thinks his next bout will be for the light heavyweight title in the UFC. But he is more than happy to keep proving that he is the right person for the job.
Ulberg, who is a major contender at 205 pounds, is not going to play the political game to get a shot at gold. He believes that his work speaks for itself, but he is willing to do everything the UFC asks him to do to prove his claim to the belt. Ulberg was at UFC 320 on Saturday, where Alex Pereira beat Magomed Ankalaev in the main event to win back his light heavyweight title. Jiri Prochzaka knocked out someone in a nasty way at the event. Ulberg would fight Prochzaka if he doesn't have the chance to fight "Poatan."
"They know what it is." "They know who should be there," Ulberg said to reporters backstage at the T-Mobile Arena. "I know for sure that I'm next in line. I've done my time, but I'm not going to call anyone. I will fight anyone. If I have to, I'll fight Jiri or Khalil, whoever wins, simply to show the skeptics or anyone in the division that I can do it. I'll attack them only to make them all quiet up, and then I'll be next.
Ulberg hasn't lost since he was stopped in his first UFC fight in 2021. He has won nine fights in a row, the most recent of which was a knockout of former championship challenger Dominick Reyes last month in Perth, Australia. The City Kickboxing fighter thought he would be at the top of the game one day, so he isn't surprised by his recent success in MMA.
Ulberg added, "I've always believed." "I have a lot of faith in myself. I always thought I would be here. It's always been there, and now that we're here, I'm shining.
