Conor McGregor suspended 18 months

Conor McGregor has been banned from the UFC for 18 months because of the organization's anti-doping policy. He will be able to fight again in early 2026. On Tuesday, Combat Sports Anti-Doping (CSAD) — the in-house agency that runs the UFC’s anti-doping program— announced that McGregor accepted the 18-month sanction after repeated failures to submitted testing samples as required by athletes under contract with the promotion. "McGregor missed three attempts to collect biological samples in 2024, which is against the UFC's anti-doping policy," CSAD officials said in a news release. "UFC fighters must always give precise information about where they are so that they can be reached and give biological samples without warning. “CSAD said that McGregor missed tests on June 13, September 19, and September 20, 2024, and that each of these was a Whereabouts Failure under the UFC ADP.”
