"154 is very packed right now." Sebastian Fundora is not seeking to move up anytime soon.

Sebastian Fundora talks to Fight Hub TV about his impending super welterweight title defense against Keith Thurman, his anger with some of the sanctioning organizations, and where he wants to take his career, which has a lot of great potential matches in the future. Here are some excerpts from what Fundora had to say. Fundora discusses whether Thurman is his toughest opponent yet. "I do not believe so, but he is a big name, a very large name. So we had to present the flowers to him because he is a terrific fighter. "We had some tough competition coming up. I don't want to identify names, but there were a few bouts that were quite tough." On not getting a fight with Xander Zayas. "I was not at the table..." Look, we fought Booker, who was either #4 or #5 in the WBO rankings, and that was supposed to be the WBO's defense because no one was mandatory at the time. But as soon as the fight happened, they ordered the Zayas bout, so I assumed we had simply protected the title for them. "So they had their own plans; I'm guessing that was their plan from the start. I remember after defeating Tszyu the first time, they wanted us to fight Crawford two months later, and our noses were still sore – no regard for the boxers. They have their own ideas, whatever, and the WBO is what it is." On if he wants to go undisputed at 154 "Right now, having had a taste of that (experience with the WBO), it sort of takes that idea away. I'll fight all of these guys, but for those championships, I'm just fighting the WBC. "I'm finished with that." Has he contemplated jumping up to 160? "We have all these amazing names in 1954. Who do you have at 160, actually? I mean, you have a few of players, but I believe 154 is very packed right now."
