Max Holloway calls BKFC "the dumbest thing ever" and explains why he won't follow UFC legends.
Max Holloway has made it clear that he will not be moving to BKFC in the future, unlike many other UFC superstars.
Max Holloway, the current UFC BMF champion, doesn't expect to retire from fighting anytime soon, but he understands that when he does, he will be done for good.
Holloway's previous fight was in July, when he fought Dustin Poirier again in what was Poirier's penultimate fight before he retired.
And since he successfully defended his BMF title, "Blessed" has had a few calls, one of which was from Charles Oliveira. Fans can't wait to witness that rematch.
Holloway says that BKFC is "the dumbest thing ever."
Many competitors that fought in the UFC at the same time as Holloway have since retired, but some have come out of retirement to fight for BKFC.
Since Conor McGregor became a co-owner of the promotion, it has definitely been more popular. Fighters like Eddie Alvarez, Mike Perry, and Jeremy Stephens viewed this as a chance to keep their careers going in the spotlight.
Holloway, on the other hand, has called BKFC "the dumbest thing ever," saying that when he formally quits from MMA, he will be done for real and won't follow UFC superstars who have migrated to BKFC.
Holloway remarked in a recent livestream, "I'm never going to fight bare-knuckle. That's the dumbest thing ever. When I'm done, I'm done."
"I might do a boxing match, but not a bare-knuckle fight. That's just crazy. People who do that are on a whole other level."
"People who practice Power Slap, bare-knuckle, buddy, you guys are nuts. He went on, "Like, the slap one is so crazy, like why would I want to stand there and say, 'Yeah you can slap me, I slap you,' that's f—ing crazy."
