Kamaru Usman is happy to kick Belal Muhammad's "head in" if they ever fight.
In September 2024, Muhammad was going to go on Usman and Henry Cejudo's Pound 4 Pound podcast, which seemed to be the end of Usman and Muhammad's fight. The episode hasn't come out yet, and both sides are blaming each other for a fight that broke out when it was being filmed. Cejudo said that Usman and Belal got into a fight, and Muhammad said that Usman had "tears coming out of his eyes" during the fight.
In any case, Usman didn't fight, and instead he beat Joaquin Buckley at UFC Atlanta. Muhammad is now set to battle Ian Machado Garry at UFC Qatar on November 22 after losing the welterweight title to Jack Della Maddalena at UFC 315.
Usman isn't sure who he will fight next, but he wants to compete at the forthcoming UFC White House event in June and maybe even have a chance to get back the welterweight title if everything goes his way.
"I think the odds are good because the plan is, hopefully, fingers crossed, that after this fight in the next couple of weeks with Islam [Makhachev] and [Jack Della Maddalena], the winner will want to take some time off," Usman added. "If it's Islam, Ramadan is coming up, so we should sit for a few months. The White House should be a great time to get back in there." So we'll see. I don't know. Like I said, I'm going for the championship, so it doesn't matter who it is.
