The new date, which features the Isaac Cruz-Lamont Roach WBC 140lbs title fight, is a title defense for Foster, who is 23-3 (12 KOs) and a two-time titleholder from the greater Houston area. This will be his first fight since he won back the WBC 130lbs title from Robson Conceicao last November 2 in Verona, New York. Fulton's record is 23-1 with 8 KOs. He is moving up in weight because he wants to be a three-division champion. The fight was supposed to take place on the August 16 PBC on Prime Video PPV, which was supposed to be headlined by the Gervonta "Tank" Davis-Lamont Roach Jnr rematch. But Davis didn't want to go through with the bout, thus the whole event was called off. Foster-Fulton then got the co-main event spot for the WBC 154-pound title bout between Sebastian Fundora and Keith Thurman, which had already been planned.
