White reveals timeline to begin matchmaking for UFC White House
"We got all the logistics done," White said on "Spinnin Backfist MMA Show." "All the logistics are done. We know where we are, we know how many seats, we know what the rigging is going to look like, we know what the fighter is going to walk from, we know where they're going to be stationed, we know we're going to do this.
"Now, after Jan. 24, we'll start getting into the card."
Transforming the White House lawn into a one-time fight venue will be a massive undertaking. Since it's a one-off event, White's phone has been ringing off the hook with fighters wanting a place on the card and celebrities and other people hoping to land a spot on the guest list, since tickets will not be sold.
White was asked if either side of that coin annoys him more than the other. Understanding the exclusivity of the over-the-top event, White appreciates the demand.
"No, neither, because I get it, because this is like a one-of-one experience," White said. "It's going to be incredible. And not just for the fighters and the fans, but my staff that get to work this event, you know what I mean? That's the other thing. I have 500 employees just in Vegas. Everybody wants to work this thing."
